With The Championships at Wimbledon being one of the most prestigious Tennis tournaments in the world, it is of no surprise that Wimbledon has become one of the best events of the British Summer. Come rain or shine, there is nothing quite like The Championships at Wimbledon, which sees millions of fans and non fans alike heading down to SW19 to witness some of the most exciting tennis that the season has to offer.
Whether you are in pursuit of greatness on or off the court, attending Wimbledon is the perfect time to choose your next tennis superstar, but is equally the perfect time to enjoy the Wimbledon atmosphere with friends. This year, I didn’t have the pleasure of obtaining tickets to Centre Court, but with the cheers and applauds from Federer’s match echoing out on to Henman Hill, that didn’t matter much.
Speaking of Tennis, we must applaud the 2017 Ladies’ Singles Champion Muguruza for battling it through to the final and securing her first ever Wimbledon title. Although it did seem like an easy run in the final once Venus Williams failed to take the first set, there is no denying that Muguruza remained consistent in what is always an intense two weeks at Wimbledon.
Having attended the tournament consecutively for the past 6 years or more, being a ticket holder or queuing on the day makes little difference to me, as almost nothing can take away from the Wimbledon experience. So whilst 2017 has proved to be yet another great year at Wimbledon with the Champion Roger Federer winning the Men’s Singles for a record breaking 7th time, I can hardly wait to do it all over again.
